We ask for the SEPRONA building to be included in the Rabasa land swap

A solution to unlock the former sack factory development

We have proposed that Alicante City Council include the SEPRONA building on Avenida de Elche in the deal it is negotiating with the Guardia Civil to exchange its command building on Calle San Vicente for a serviced plot in Rabasa.

We believe this is needed to tackle the current dereliction and unsanitary conditions among the abandoned buildings around the SEPRONA building and unlock the small development area, which has been stalled for more than 30 years.

The council should take the lead

We maintain that Alicante City Council should lead this development so the deal takes in a critical site at the southern gateway.

We recently put the proposal to Antonio Peral, councillor for Urban Planning, and Leticia Martín, director-general for Planning. They indicated that they were willing to look into it.
