Two years on, the problem persists

At the full council meeting on 30 March 2023, in the previous term, VOX councillor Jose Juan Bonet asked when the administration led by Mayor @Luis Barcala would address the derelict homes on Avenida de Elche. Adrián Santos Pérez, then councillor for Urban Planning, replied that property maintenance cases go through enforcement proceedings, often ending in the council doing the work itself. He said residents had been told of plans to extend Calle de La Conserva and finish the promenade, that the council would begin taking possession of the land for Calle Carmen Soto to complete the loop, and that it was considering carrying out this part of the development directly because of obstacles to private delivery.
More than two years after that answer, things are much worse. The lack of empathy for residents of southern Alicante is TOTAL.
We are tired of being strung along.
